Elegant Kitchen Update

A St. Louis home had a kitchen that had been minimally updated since the house was built in 1987. While the family liked the basic layout of the eat-in kitchen, they wanted a warmer, elegant look with plenty of specialized storage.

Mosby began the update with cherry Showplace cabinets and Cambria quartz countertops. A space hogging shelf around the sink area was removed to create more work space around the undermount sink. And a niche that was formerly a built-in desk doubles its storage space while retaining – and refining – the workspace functionality.

The new floor looks like ceramic but is a soft and durable vinyl tile. All base cabinets have roll-out trays for easy access. And new lighting, tile backsplashes and custom moldings add design flair and warmth.
