Landscaping Laborer

Mosby Building Arts is hiring Landscaping Laborers. If you have 5 years of landscape experience and are proficient in small equipment operation (bobcat, mini-excavator, etc) we encourage you to apply.

Reports To: Fleet Coordinator

Job Purpose: To aid the Project Managers in ensuring efficient and proper completion of all landscaping aspects of the jobs assigned to them by providing advanced landscaping skills, effective communication, and exemplary on-site leadership and supervision to landscapers and laborers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform landscaping tasks as required for each job which includes but is not limited to: building retaining walls, pavers, operating equipment, seed and straw, lay sod, grade yard, and digging drainage.
  • Ensure landscape operations on each job are handled professionally, remain on schedule, and stay within the given budget
    Provide leadership and training to laborers as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, cheerfulness, and adherence to safety procedures
  • Provide assistance and support to Project Manager as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of landscape experience and necessary knowledge (should include all types)
  • High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient in small equipment operation (bobcat, mini-excavator, etc.)
  • Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
  • Independent self-starter with strong time management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain class E driver’s license, and reliable form of transportation.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, work with your hands, climb ladders, kneel, drive, and move 75lbs independently for extended periods of time.
