When I was a young designer, I assisted on the design of the first house in St. Louis of this kind. It wasa 32,000 ft2 French Chateau complete with a brasserie ballroom, bowling alley, move theatre, hairsalon and more. One of my first projects as a lead designer was a 30’ yacht. It was a challengingand fun project to work on. I had to learn the terms for all the parts and rooms in a yacht so thatthe captain knew which space was being addressed. A majority of this project was accomplishedremotely, so local vendors and workrooms had to be sought out.
