As most homeowners can attest, your house will tell you when it’s time for an update. Original fixtures tend to fade over time, even things you can’t see like plumbing and electric will alert you when they begin to fail. When this happens, local design build firm Mosby Building Arts is there to plan and execute your kitchen remodel.

When Mosby Building Arts was invited into this Ladue family’s home, they collaborated on what was working in the kitchen and what was not. The kitchen was outdated and set up in a U-shape that blocked flow between the kitchen and eating area. The discussion focused on how to make the space function better and feel better from a style standpoint. One of the requests was to move the cooktop out of the island. The stove was moved over to a side wall and converted to gas. The homeowners also wanted to separate the stacked microwave and oven. These smart adjustments created ample room for multiple chefs to be in the kitchen at once.

The new space is brighter and exudes an easy, breezy beach vibe. The white cabinets, dark hardwood flooring, and a gorgeous glass backsplash make this once-dark kitchen shine. The cabinets have slow-close drawers and other built-ins that most chefs desire. The backsplash is a unique blue-ish color made out of recycled wine bottles. The tile was installed vertically for an added touch of wow!

The team at Mosby understands what each home needs to elevate its style and purpose. From the appliance reconfiguration to the unique backsplash, this remodel was a homerun. And most importantly, the family is thrilled with the results! To start your remodeling renovation click here.
