Spring into a Fresh Look with this Updated Kitchen Remodel

by | Miscellaneous

This beautiful 1983 home was ready for a kitchen transformation. The homeowners have lived in the home for about 20 years, they loved the home and space, but needed to update it aesthetically. They wanted to brighten up the kitchen but maintain its layout.

The clients wanted to remove their old oak cabinets and go with something more modern so they went with a single bead door style, finishing the cabinets with a painted cream color. They needed more cabinet and pantry space, so we added a wall of painted cream cabinets where the clients can store food and other small appliances. The larger cabinets have pull out drawers for easier access to things stored in the back.

Mosby designer Shannon Cross helped the clients pick a mosaic glass accent tile that goes beautifully with the Sile Stone countertop and the quartz composite undermount sink. The cream in the cabinets gives just enough difference in color to the backsplash tile and ties it all in nicely.

Previously the microwave and oven sat against the wall; we moved them over slightly giving the homeowner a few extra cabinets for spices and bakeware.
